A local favourite fish with chunky, firmed and white meat after cooked. The steak cut is popular amongst the locals. It is often pan-fried till golden brown and served as a dish with porridge for the Chinese or to go with assam or sambal for a Malay dish. Great choice for people on a healthy diet as it has lower fat content. Also available in fillets.
