This type of salmon, also known as dog salmon or keta salmon, is a species of anadromous salmonid fish from the genus Oncorhynchus native to the coastal rivers of the North Pacific and the Beringian Arctic and is commonly sold as Silverbrite salmon in North America.
Chum salmon is also known to be leaner & has a milder taste, is low in sodium, and is a good source of omega-3 fatty acids, niacin, vitamin B12, and selenium.
